Cottage Cheese Pulav / Paneer Pulav

 
 

Paneer Pulav

Raw rice : 1 cup (1 Aazhaaku )

Tomato : 2

Onion : 2

Green chilly : 2

Ginger :   ½ inch

Coriander leaves : 2 hand full

Mint leaves : 2 hand full

Flavored Paneer :  150 gms ( cubes  or crumbled )

Salt to taste

Turmeric powder : ¼ tsp

Tandoori masala : 2 tsp

Sugar : ¼ tsp

Water : 1 + ¾   cups

Cooking oil : 1 tbsp

Ghee : 1 tbsp

                In pressure pan pour oil and ghee… fry onions till golden colour… add rice and stir fry for few mts.

 Meanwhile grind tomato, ginger, chilly, coriander leaves, mint leaves coarsely.

Add this ground paste , turmeric powder, tandoori masala powder, paneer cubes, salt, sugar, water and mix nicely with rice.

Cook for a whistle in medium flame.

Open and fluff up carefully without breaking paneer cubes.

Serve with  Raitha / Chips / Salad .  

Note : 

·      you can use Basmati rice instead of Raw rice and reduce the water to  ¾  cup

·      You can also use plain paneer in place of flavored one.

·      Use any masala powder of your choice in place of tandoori masala powder.
