Black gram dal / Urad dal : 1 cup
Green
chillies : 1 ( chopped ) ( Optional )
Black Pepper
: 1 tsp ( Whole )
Coconut
Pieces : 1 tbsp
Salt to
taste
Curry leaves
: Few
Method : Soak Black
gram dal / Urad dal for 2 hrs.
Grind to a
nice batter using cold water.
Add Curry
leaves, Coconut pieces, Pepper, Salt , chilly and mix nicely.
Using wet
hands , take a small amount of batter and toss into small balls and drop them
carefully in oil .
Fry in the hot oil in medium flame till it
becomes crispy and golden in colour.
Serve with
Sambar / Chutney / Sauce.
