Aval Payasam
Full Cream Milk - 1 litre
Aval / Poha / Flattened Rice. -- ¾ cup
Sugar - 1 cup ( powder it )

Ghee : 2 tsp.
Cashew : 6
Melon seeds : 2 tsp.
In 1 tsp of ghee fry Aval
nicely till it becomes crispyand becomes light brown in colour. Let it cool.
Just Give a Pulse in mixie. Keep
it aside.
Pour milk and a tsp of ghee in a tall vessel and close with lid .
Keep it inside a pressure cooker and cook.
When the first whistle comes, simmer & cook for 5 more minutes .
Allow to cool & open.
Add powdered sugar to the milk & mix well. Cover with lid.
Keep it inside the pressure cooker.
When the whistle comes, simmer & cook for 5 more minutes.
Wait till the pressure drops and open.
Mix the Aval with milk and immediately close the cooker .
Rest it for 15 to 20 mts. , ……Aval gets cooked in milk heat itself.

is ready.
Serve Hot or Cold.
