Beans -- ¼ kg
Curry leaves -- 1 arc ( finely chop )
Coriander leaves -- Hand full (
finely chop )
Hing -- 2 pinches
Turmeric Powder -- ¼ tsp
Salt to taste.
Thur dal -- ¼ cup
Channa Dal -- ¼ cup
Red chilly -- 5
Soak dals and red chilly together for an hr.
Drain and grind it coarsely. Add chopped curry leaves , coriander leaves ,
salt , hing , turmeric powder and mix
them nicely.
Keep dal mixture , loosely packed , in microwave safe Idly mould.
Steam them for 3 mts.
Let it cool.
[After it gets cool down, you can store this Usili in freezer for later
use ]
Give a pulse in mixie, to get nice Udhir Udhir Consistency.
In microwave safe bowl mix dal usili , chopped beans. Sprinkle 1 tbsp of water and microwave for 6
mts . Stir once in between.
Add salt ( very less as we have added salt in usili already ) .

}
MW for 3 mts.
Allow standing time for a minute.
Tempering : ( Optional )
Coconut Oil -- 2 tbsp
Mustard -- ½ tsp
You can prepare tempering in stove top or in oven.
