Veg Burger Patty
Ingredients
for Burger Patty
Potatoes - 4
Rice flakes
-- 1 cup
Onion
-- 1 ( finely chopped )
Carrot - 1 ( finely
chopped )
Beans -- ¼ cup
( finely chopped )
Peas -- ¼ cup
Garlic - ¼ tsp
( finely chopped ) ( Optional )
Dry Coriander
leaves powder -- ¼ tsp
Salt to
taste
Unsalted
Butter -- 3 Tbsp
For
Masala powder:
Turmeric
powder -- ¼ tsp
Amchur /
Mango powder – ½ tsp
Cumin – ¼ tsp
Red chilly
powder -- ½ tsp
Salt to
taste
Ingredients
for thin batter :
Maida flour
-- ½ cup
Corn flour
-- ¼ cup
Corn flakes
powder ( ready meal ) -- ¼ cup
Vegetable
oil -- 1 tbsp
Ice cold
water --
1 cup
Salt to
taste.
Method:
Keep Boiled potatoes Unpeeled in refrigerator for minimum
of 6 hrs before using them .
Keep chopped
onion, garlic, carrot ,beans, peas in
hot water separately for 10 mts before using them.
Wash rice
flakes nicely in running water. Press
and squeeze it nicely to remove excess water.
Keep it aside.
Heat butter
in non-stick pan.
Add onions, garlic
…. Fry for few mts till it becomes golden brown.
Add all the
chopped veg.
In low flame
, cook the veg.
Finally add
peeled and mashed potatoes and salt.
Stir for few mts.
Add masala powder. And mix everything nicely.
Switch off
and let the mixture cool completely.
Now add rice
flakes.
Mash all the
ingredients together nicely .
Make them
into big cylinder shaped dough and keep it in freezer air tightly in cling foil for 30 mts.
Meanwhile
prepare batter for dipping patty by
mixing nicely all the ingredients given .
Batter should be thin like bajji maavu . …
Take out the
patty from freezer and slice them thickly and pat them into the desired size .
Dip these patties
in the thin batter nicely on both sides.
Roll on
bread crumbs to coat them nicely.
( You can
store these ready to fry patties in freezer for upto 5 days )
Deep fry
these patties on Medium flame.
Fry till it
becomes golden brown and very crispy.
Serve with
Tomato Chilly Sauce .
Or Serve in between sliced burger with shredded
veg and mayonnaise and Sauce of your choice.
