Pepper  Rasam ...  Quick relief from common cold
 
Rasam for relief from Common Cold
 
Pepper : 1 tsp
Cumin Seeds : 1 tsp
Mustard Seeds : ½ tsp
Ghee : 1 tsp
Coriander seeds : 2 tsp
Curry leaves : 10
Ginger : ½ tsp ( chopped )
Hing powder :  2 pinches
Turmeric powder : 2 pinches
Tamarind Paste : 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Sugar : ¼  tsp
          Dry roast Cumin seeds and Coriander seeds lightly .
In ½ tsp of ghee,  fry pepper till it pops . Add ginger, curry leaves and stir for few seconds without changing colour of ginger .
Grind dry roasted and ghee roasted ingredients without adding water  .  Add little water and grind it again to a nice paste.
Add tamarind paste , salt , sugar , hing  and one and half cups of water .
Boil it in low flame for 15 mts .
Or
Micro Wave for 10 mts in Medium .
In half a tsp of ghee, temper with mustard seeds.
Serve hot with Rice , Ghee and  Dry roasted Papad.
Can also have as hot Soup with ghee.
 
Have this Rasam twice a day to get best result.
