Mix Pulses Sundal




Mix Pulses  Sundal

 

* Mix Pulses :  1 cup

Green chilly : 3 ( slit )

Grated coconut :  2 tbsp

Oil : 2 tsp

Mustard seeds : 1/2  tsp

Chopped coriander leaves  :  2 tbsp

Grated Raw mango : 1 tbsp

Hing powder  :  2 pinches

Ginger :  1 tsp ( chopped )
 
Garlic : 1 tsp ( chopped )

Salt to taste

          Dry roast pulses till they become hot . 

Soak  them for 10 hours . 

Drain the water. 

Cook in Pressure pan with sufficient water for 2 whistles.

Drain the water.

In Pan heat oil and temper with mustard .  When it stops popping , add hing, green chilly , garlic and ginger .   Saute it lightly. 

Add cooked pulses + Salt and give a nice stir.

Remove from flame and garnish with raw mango , coriander and coconut. 

Protein rich  Sundal is ready to serve for evening snack. 


 

We Can also prepare this sundal, during Navrathri Days for neivedhyam.   Omit Garlic if you are preparing for Neivedhyam .

Konda kadalai     /  Chick peas                /  Chana ( both  white and brown )

Karamani             /  Black eye peas         /  Lobhia ( both white and red )

Pachai Payaru     /  Green gram beans  /  Moong
