Mixture:
Mixture, the
name itself defines what it is …. It is
the combination of many crisps’, together mixed to have a lovely combo of
Mixture.
One main
advantage is , there is no hard and fast rule for the quantity of each crisps
should be added. As per your taste mix
and match in any quantity of the following crisps to have a tasty evening
snack, Mixture.
We need
:
KaraBoondhi : 1 cup
Omapodi or plain Sev : 1 cup
SweetDiamond Biscuits : 1 cup
Thick Flattened
Rice / Getti Aval : 1
cup
Peanuts : ½ cup
Cashews : ½ cup
Fried gram /
Pottu kadalai : ½ cup
Curry leaves
: ¼ cup
Salt and Red
chilly to taste.
Heat oil and deep fry the peanuts till it
becomes brown and crispy.
Deep Fry Cashews
till it becomes golden brown in colour
Deep fry
flattened rice till it puffs up nicely, without changing its colour.
Deep fry
fried gram till it changes into golden brown in colour.
Deep fry
curry leaves till it loses its moisture.
Mix all the
above the sprinkle salt and chilly powder , till the snacks are still hot
. Mix thoroughly to get masala ,
equally spread.
Now with the
above mixture , mix all the other snacks like Kara boondhi, Omapodi , Sweet diamond .
Mix
nicely.
Store it in
air tight container.
Enjoy the
very famous South Indian Snack ,
Mixture.
· Soak Gram dal for 4 hrs and drain. Pat them with kitchen towel to remove excess
moisture … Deep fry them in oil , till
the bubbles stops. Gram dal will be
golden colour and crispy. We can replace
Fried gram / pottukadalai with Gram dal by this way.
· Soak Green gram bean / Pachai payaru for 4 hrs … drain well and deep
fry till it becomes crispy. You can add
this to mixture. The quantity is up to
you.
You can prepare this Snack for Diwali, the festival of light.
