Karamani  Sweet  Sundal


Black eye peas sweet Sundal /  Karamani vella Sundal /  Lobia meeta Sundal
Karamani  :  1 cup
Jaggery powder  : ½ cup 
Coconut : 2 tbsp
Cardamom powder : ½ tsp
          Dry roast black eye peas lightly.   Soak it for 4 hours. 
Pressure cook for 2 whistles with water. 
After opening drain water.  
Cooked peas should be very soft.  Mash few black eye peas.  Keep it aside. 
          Microwave the  jaggery powder in high with a  tbsp of water for 1 minurw.     Filter to remove impurities . 
Add filtered jaggery syrup , cooked black eye peas and coconut and microwave in high for 3 minutes , stirring once in between. 
Add cardamom and microwave for one more minute . 
 stove top method : 
Add water with jiggery  powder and melt it till it dissolves.   Filter to remove impurities. 
Add Cooked peas, coconut and cook till all the water absorbs . 
Add cardamom and give a nice stir.
Very tasty Sweet Black Eye Peas Sundal /  Vella karamani Sundal is ready for Neivedhyam during Navrathri days. 
This is a very good evening snacks and can be prepared very quickly and easily.
Variation :
White Karamani can be replace with Red Karamani ….
