Onion Tomato Paste



Onion Tomato Base
 

Onion Tomato Paste

 

¼ cup  :  oil

250 grams  : chopped Onions /  Shallots

250 gms :  chopped Tomatoes

2  : Dry red chillies

2  :  Green chilly

4  :  Garlic cloves

1 tsp :  Chopped Ginger

½ tsp  :  Sugar

½ tsp  :  Garam masala

½ tsp  :  Salt

        In a Pan fry both the chillies , onion, garlic and ginger till onion becomes translucent .    Add all the other ingredients and fry till tomato becomes soft.
 
 

 
 

 

How  to  Store :

Can Use it immediately  (or )

Store in fridge for 2 days ( or )

Store in freezer in zip lock cover or air tight container .  Can Store upto a month.

 

How  to  Use  : 

·      Give a boil , this paste with cooked veggies or paneer for any North Indian gravy based curries.

·      Or you can cook for a whistle : Onion tomato paste + any chopped veggies of your choice.


Note :  you can change the ratio of onion and tomato ... for eg:  add one portion of  onion with 2 portion of tomatoes or one portion of onion with 3 portion of tomatoes , for different taste of gravy.
