Ammini Kozhukkatai





Ammini  Kozhukkattai

 

* Rice dough :  ½   cup

Salt  to  taste

Red chilly powder : 1 tsp

Dhaniya  Powder :  1 tsp

Turmeric Powder :  2 pinches

Grated coconut :  2 tbsp

Grated carrot : 2 tbsp

Chopped  Coriander leaves : 2 tbsp

Oil : 2 tsp

Mustard : ¼ tsp

 

            Make small marble size balls out of rice dough and steam cook for 7  to 10 mts , depending upon the size of the balls.
 

Let it come to the room temperature.

In a pan heat oil and temper with mustard .  When it stops popping add coconut and carrot gratings and stir for a minute.  Add all the other ingredients and steamed ammini kozhukkattai… saute for few more minutes. 

Garnish with few coriander leaves and serve hot.

 

Very tasty Ammini Kozhukkattai is ready within few mts .

 

·         Instead of Red chilly powder , you can use  Idly Milagai  Podi  .

·        In a small cup take water and add few drops of oil and grease this mixture of water + Oil while making balls .

*  Refer Sweet  Kozhukkattai or  Ulundhu Poornam Kozhukkattai for Rice  dough, which is used for outer covering.
