Raw Mango Sweet Pachadi / Mangai Pachadi





Raw Mango Sweet Pachadi

 SERVES  2 

Raw Mango : 1 cup ( grated )

Jaggery powder : 1 cup

Salt : 1 pinch

Turmeric Powder : 1 pinch

Green chilly : 1 ( slit )

Water : 1 ladle

Rice flour : 1 tsp ( mix with a tsp of water to make it paste )


       In 1 tbsp of water melt the jaggery powder and strain to remove sand and dust. Keep it aside.

Remove mango skin and grate it.

In a pan,  cook mango with salt, turmeric powder, chilly till mangoes become mushy.

Add jaggery syrup and cook for few more mts till the pachadi becomes thick.

Finally add rice flour paste and give a boil and remove from flame.


Note :  Can increase or decrease quantity of jaggery according to personal choice. 

*  Temper with neem flowers finally.  This is usually made on Tamil New Year.
